Dangers Of Diet Pills

By: Owen O Diaz

We have a pill for this, a pill for that, a pill for everything that ails you. There is even a pill for male enhancement.

When it comes to losing weight people blindly reach for their little miracles in a bottle. Hoping to be transformed overnight into a super model thin vision of themselves without ever having to leave the couch.

Sorry to break the news to you, but, there aren't any miracle weight loss drugs. Sure some of them claim big things, some even show results at first. But, those kind of results don't last.

Seems like men and women will go to great lengths to be thin. And we want it now. We want the quick fix, something that won't make us break a sweat. We don't want to spend hours in the gym or give up fast food and chocolate cake. We want what the advertisement says, "Quick Weight Loss".

Yes, we want the magic pill. Yes we want to look like Bo and Brook, Brad and George.

We don't worry about the side effect when we are seeing such quick results.

This is a frightening trend in those looking to lose weight. A trend that is short lived.

The thing with diet pills is once you stop taking them you gain all the weight back, sometimes even more. That's because they screw with your metabolism and once you stop, your metabolism goes back to the way it was.

You know the old saying; If it's too good to be true, it probably is. There are no quick fixes when it comes to losing weight. Don't sacrifice your health for a little magic pill.

The best way to lose weight and keep it off is basic; A healthy eating plan and proper exercise.

It can't get any simpler than that.

Prescription Diet Pills

By: Suzy Watson

The prescription diet pills used to be the doctor's way of helping those people who are obese and have a BMI of over 30. Along with a diet plan, a weight loss program and some exercise, the prescription diet pill was and still is given to many.

70% of the population lose their fight against dieting. You are not alone if it has happened to you. Fad diets, yo-yo diets, you name it, they are out there and most don't work.

There has been an increase in weight loss tablets being sold in pharmacies and on the internet as a way of gaining effective weight loss. The reason for this is that many of these weight loss tablets that were "prescription only" were approved by the FDA, but more recently the FDA have approved for these types of pills to be sold over the counter.

Whilst this is possibly a good thing, many of these fat binders and appetite suppressants have been chemically altered and do not work as well as having horrid side effects. Many over the counter weight loss pills contain the following ingredients, but generally speaking they won't advertise the side effects that come with it. So be warned.

Orlistat, which was originally a prescription diet pill, was approved by the FDA for over the counter sale in 2007. However, the side effects aren't very nice, namely diarrhea. Not very convenient if you have a 9-5 job.

Rimonabant is an appetite suppressant and this has frightening side effects such as causing psychiatric problems. This product actually hasn't been approved in USA or Canada.

Sibutramine is another appetite suppressant, but you may find that your blood pressure rises, which again isn't safe, but also can be very dangerous.

You will find these examples of the above ingredients contained in many of the weight loss pills that are on the market today which explains why you want to find fat binders or appetite suppressants that are 100% natural and have also been clinically proven and tested. Hoodia pills are a very safe and natural weight loss tablet and one you should look into, because hoodia is a natural ingredient used for generations by the San Tribe to suppress their appetite. You need to know what you are taking is a safe weight loss tablet.

Prescription diet pills are now readily available over the counter, but check first and do your research into which ones are best for you and which ones will enable you to gain safe and effective weight loss.

Ephedrasil

Well as with all diets, they all claim to work, but I must admit from experience to having reservations about diet pills. After all how do we really know what is in them, we can only trust what the suppliers are saying is in them is the case. At least if you choose for example a Weight Watchers plan then you can see and control what you are eating.

Saying that for a lot of people they do work, a quick fix for many to get into your favourite dress for an all important night out. What I find a massive struggle with this type of dieting is the size of the tablets, usually the size of a torpedo and secondly the amount of water needed to be consumed when taking these tablets. So I find this type of dieting the hardest. With this type of dieting exercise must play a paramount
part in order to keep the weight off.

When looking into diet pills, I was shocked to find just how many are out of there too many to mention, three of them I have listed below. Do all of these really work? I think not but let's face it when you are trying to lose weight you will believe anything and if you see an advert with flashing lights saying a product is on special offer then you buy.

What do you look for when choosing a diet supplement? Which is more important to you? well I bet last on the list is how it effects your health because fitting into those all important jeans will in most cases mean you forget the health aspect or don't even give it a second thought.

Just as an example here are a few of the 'top' diet pills, the list really is endless so here you go diet pills and their claims.

Lipovox developed albeit accidentally by a Hawaiian college student, the latest diet pill used for weight loss but also by celebrities wanting to improve their skin. The cost of Lipovox, for 30 days $69

Ephedrasil Hardcore, the controversial one although legally available at the moment supplies are hard to find, this is due to the tablets giving you a natural high which will suppress your appetite and could cause a feeling down mood. The cost of Ephedrasil Hardcore not cheap, for 30 days, $137.00.

Zalestrim a female diet pill which claims weight loss, breast enhancement and sexual stimulation.Zalestrim's formulators have done a fine job of targeting womens specific weight, breast, and sexual needs. A 3 in 1 pill so to speak. The cost of Zalestrim, for 30 days, $79.99.
